Drug Addiction Rehabilitation

This program supports individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders. Volunteers work in community centers, clinics, or rehabilitation facilities alongside trained professionals. The focus is on rehabilitation, reintegration, and long-term recovery support.

Volunteer Tasks:

  1. Assist in Therapy Sessions

Support group therapy and 12-step meetings (under supervision)
Take observational notes to support clinical staff
Help set up safe, confidential meeting spaces

  1. Support Recreational Therapy Activities

Organize and lead art therapy, music, exercise, or wellness activities
Encourage positive social interaction among clients

  1. Help in Educational Workshops

Assist with delivering relapse prevention and recovery sessions
Prepare materials for addiction education and awareness
Co-facilitate group discussions on lifestyle change

  1. Patient Engagement & Motivation

Provide positive encouragement and one-on-one companionship
Listen to client concerns and report to supervisors for appropriate intervention
Participate in outreach events focused on substance abuse awareness

  1. Intake & Documentation Assistance

Help with initial screenings and non-sensitive documentation
Support record-keeping under staff guidance
Assist in creating client progress charts (confidentiality maintained)
